Tata Play Mobile Application has 5 sections :

Home: Get the best of the content on offer here : From Live TV to On Demand to TV Shows. Everything that you need to watch!

Live TV: Not in-front of your TV? No worries. Get live TV on your fingertips so you never miss any ongoing action.

On Demand: Choose from a host of TV shows, Movies and web content served on your demand. Also, catch up on most of your missed TV shows from previous 7 days anytime and anywhere.

Watchlist: Keep all your favourite shows and channel here and access them quickly.

My Box allows you to see the schedule of all the channels Tata Play offers.

Who can use the Tata Play Mobile App?Anyone can download the Tata Play Mobile App and access the content in it, but only active Tata Play Subscribers are enabled to watch their favourite content basis on the package they are subscribed to.

How do I get to access/view to the content? OR How do I login to the app?

To access/view Live TV, On Demand and all other services of the Tata Play Mobile App on your Android/iOS devices, you need to follow the following steps:

Log into the App using any of the following details:

Your Subscriber ID

Your Registered Mobile Number

You now have to enter the OTP sent to your Registered Mobile Number or enter your mytataplay.com password to complete the login process.

Now you are ready to view the content of your choice.

I don’t remember my mytataplay.com password.You can reset your password by selecting the "forgot password" option. We will send a temporary password to you on your registered email and mobile number which you can use to login and reset your password.

On how many devices can I use the Tata Play Mobile app?You can login to the app from a maximum of 10 devices. However, you can view Live TV, On Demand on a maximum of 2 devices simultaneously per subscriber ID.

Why can I view Live TV / On Demand service only on 2 devices simultaneously?Content providers’ agreements with Tata Play stipulate that Tata Play Live TV channels, Tata Play On Demand episodes and titles can be viewed on a maximum of two devices simultaneously per subscriber ID at any given time.

Can I login using more than 10 devices?Yes, you can do so only after deleting the devices that you no longer use from the Device Management option in the app.

Access to various services

I am not a Tata Play subscriber can I still access the service?You can view certain free content such as movie trailers, however you need to be an active Tata Play subscriber to access the Live TV and On Demand videos.

My Tata Play account is currently de-active due to lack of funds; can I still use Live TV/On Demand service?You need to be an active Tata Play subscriber to enjoy Live TV channels and On Demand videos on your device. De-active subscribers can now recharge their accounts by selecting “Recharge” option on the app.

Can I watch Live TV and On Demand videos outside India?No. You need to be in India to be able to use the Tata Play Mobile services.

Why can’t I watch live TV and On Demand videos outside India?Tata Play provides services only within the territory of India.

General app related questions

How do I see the schedule of a channel?To see the schedule of a channel you should select a channel in Live TV section and then select 'Schedule' option. You can see the schedule for the next 3 days and previous 7 days.

Who can set programmes for record?Only Tata Play+ HD subscribers can set recording on their set top boxes using the record option from the app.

How do I set a programme for remote recording?

In Live TV section, select the programme from a channel you want to record and on the programme details page you will get an option to set it for remote record.

On selecting the record option, you will get a confirmation screen stating the programme has been successfully set for recording on your Tata Play + HD box.

Remote recording functionality can be used by Tata Play+ HD/ Tata Play+ Transfer subscribers only. Any other subscriber who tries to record will get a failure message.

You can also set a series for recording from the app.

How do I set a reminder for a programme?Reminders can be set for future programmes only.

To set a reminder for a programme, tap on the programme name. You will be able to see the set reminder button. Press the button to set a reminder. You will receive a notification on your device when it’s time for the programme.

Live TV section

How do I watch Live TV on the App?You can select any channel in the Live TV section or any live programme to view it Live on your device.

Will I be able to access all the features like Parental control, Plan etc on my Tata Play set top box on Live TV?No. Currently, Live TV service on your device offers only streaming of Live TV channels.

I am unable to access Live TV services?

Please ensure the below to enjoy uninterrupted access to Live TV:

You have a device that supports Tata Play Mobile app.

You are connected to the internet.

If you are out of the country, you will be unable to use Live TV & Tata Play On Demand streaming services.

Your Tata Play connection is in active state with sufficient funds in your account.

You can access Live TV for only those channels that are part of your subscription package.

Can I access Tata Play services such as 'Tata Play Fitness' and others in the Live TV section?Yes, we have many Tata Play service channels live, like Tata Play Fitness, Tata Play Senior Citizens

I am not able to view certain channels on Live TV?You can only view those channels on Live TV which you have subscribed for viewing on the set-top box. To enjoy all the channels available on Live TV, you would need to subscribe the respective channels on your set-top box as well.

Why are all the channels not available on Live TV?Tata Play always keeps expanding its offering of channels on the set top box. In a similar fashion, we will expand and bring more channels on Live TV soon.

I have subscribed to a channel on the set-top box. Yet when I access this channel on my activated device, I am getting the following message: “Sorry this programme is not available for viewing on Live TV”?The broadcaster does not have the rights to stream this programme on mobile devices. The Live TV service on your device will resume once the next programme starts.

How can I see all the shows available for the day on a channel?You can select the schedule option on the channel detail page to see the schedule for the channel.

Can I rewind shows on Live TV?You can rewind up to 15 minutes on Live TV.

Can I change the video quality of the Live TV?

Yes, you can select any one of the following quality settings available under the settings option. These options are available on the video player as well.

High – Gives best quality as per your network speeds.

Medium – Limits your video quality to medium even if your network speeds allow for better viewing quality to save data.

Low – Limits your video quality to low even if your network speeds allow for better viewing quality to save data.

Auto – Adjusts as per the network bandwidth.

How can I watch previous episodes or catch up on my favourite programs?You can watch this in the other episodes on schedule of live channels, On Demand section of the app or you can also look for the episode in search.

Will previous episodes or shows be available for all channels?Previous episodes or Catch up shows will be available for most of the channels available on the app. Tata Play keeps expanding its offering of channels on the set top box. We will similarly expand and make more channels & catch-up available soon on the app.

Can I fast forward, pause or rewind videos?Yes. You can fast forward, pause or rewind On Demand content. Just tap on the screen while viewing the video in full screen mode. Then drag on the progress bar to the position you wish to start viewing the video from.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can watch a video in Tata Play On Demand?No. You can watch the video as many times as you wish.

What is ‘My Tata Play’ section in the app?My Tata Play section in the app is a self-care portal that gives you access and enables you to manage your Tata Play account. You could Recharge your account, view and modify your packs and much more

What will I require to access the ‘My Account’ section?You will require your password used with www.tataplay.com for the Subscriber Id used to log into the app.

What if I do not remember the password for my Subscriber Id?You can tap on ‘Forgot password’ to generate a new password. All previous logins where the old password are being used will be logged out.

Do I get all the features and functionalities that are available on tataplay.com?Yes, you get all functionalities as available on tataplay.com through the My Account section in the app. This includes Recharge, Pack changes, etc.

I am trying to play videos on watch.tataplay.com. Why does it say "HDCP Error Detected"?We make sure that we are following high standards of security for both our customers and content partners High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) compliance is required to stream videos on watch.tataplay.com.

If this message has been displayed on your device then most likely your display, connecting HDMI cables or connecting devices are not HDCP compliant.

If your connection is HDCP supported, then you can try these steps to resolve the issue:

Unplug the connecting HDMI connection.

Restart your display by powering it off.

Reconnect HDMI cables firmly at both ends.

High pricing even after discounts â€¦ not many voucher options available

Tata has always been my familyâ€™s preferred shopping store be it Croma or Westside or Tata Neu. Unfortunately the groceries shopping (Big Basket) at Tata Neu is priced very high and even after discounts the prices are higher than Dmart and Star Quik and not many discount vouchers are also available. These are regular commodities that we use, I spend 1000 and above every time I shop for groceries and the Neu points I receive is barely anything to help with my next shopping which should be around 2 weeks from today, so then I look at Dmart or Star Quik as options since I get better discounts and offers on their apps. If Tata is able to work with better offers or voucher options it will help in making this a one stop store for all groceries as off now I use 2 other apps and where ever I get better offers on products I make purchases from that app and split the shopping. Even if Tata could come up with Annual memberships where members receive special discounted prices like Big Basket used to offerâ€¦ I think that it will also work for all. I am not sure if this offer is already available on the app but if it is then you need to make sure that it is highlighted better like Big Basket would do put up an add on membership and monthly savings.Hoping for your support in making this a one stop store for all groceries.

Ready to support the app, but i am not getting support for my issues

I want to support made in India app, but the app developers should also understand the importance of performance. I am not able to ise tata neu (upi) and also when using bb now via tata neu it's getting stuck on payments page. I tried removing the app and reinstalling it and other troubleshooting methods also, but no use. When clicked on app support it's throwing error What should i do even if i want to support made in India app ? Your chat support also is of no use as it gives predefined responses and it's very difficult to reach out customer care executive. I raised the complaint via email. they asked for details, and closed the complaint quickly. And now when i replied with a detailed video, they have not responded back. I mean for closing the complaint they were extremely quick and now when details are shared, they are not even responding. Horrible support, how can i support made in india if they are not even supporting to resolve issues.There is no support from support team. Every-time they ask to share details over email. I have already provided all details, still no resolution.So i am fed-up now, uninstalled the app.Very very poor support, really.

Not getting the serial number of Sandisk I expand 250 6GB pen drive purchased from Tataneu

Not getting the serial number of Sandisk I Xpand 256 GB pen drive purchased from Tataneu on 5th January, 2024. I have purchased the above pen drive, and I was sent an invoice without the serial number. I am struggling since several days to obtain the serial number of the pen drive in order to register it. However, under one pretext or the other, my complaint is continuously closed and lame excuses given that they cannot reach me on the phone, even though I repeatedly tell them to please send me the serial number on my email. This is extremely unethical and the customer is cheated. It seems that a product purchased through Tataneu has been sold without a serial number. A H DoctorTo further aggravate the issue someone called Prince is sending me an email repeatedly since midnight that if I do not provide the required information, without specifying what information it is that they require, they will auto close the request, something they have already done five times earlier to cover up their total lack of efficiency and I have been compelled to reopen. my request again and again. Content & Features

Can I search the content via Voice Search?Yes, you can click on the voice search icon and start saying the name of the content you want to consume on the app and results will be basis your voice search

How can I use watchlist feature?On Program Information screen of every content or Player screen, you will find a star icon. Clicking on star icon will lead to addition of content to watchlist. Content added in watchlist can be viewed from the Watchlist icon from the bottom of Home. Content added to Watchlist can be accessed from any device under the subscription.

Can I share content with others?Yes, on Program Information screen, you will find a WhatsApp icon, which lets you share directly through WhatsApp. You can also use Share Icon to share using other modes. Only Subscriber with current Tata Play Binge Subscription can access the shared content.

Do I need to download partner apps on mobile to access?For apps as Curiosity Stream, Hungama Play & ShemarooMe, EPIC on, Docubay content, once you click on play on any of the content, content playback starts inside Binge app. The content playback starts in a portrait mode. You can also view in the full screen mode.

For Zee5 app content, once you click on any content and land on program information screen, you will see play CTA and that opens the Zee5 PWA interface inside Binge app and the content playback starts on the Zee5 PWA interface. Once you click back on the device, you will land on the Binge screen

For Disney+ Hotstar app content, once you click on any content and land on program information screen, you will see play CTA and pop up to download the Disney+ Hotstar app, incase already not installed. Once you click OK, you will be taken to the download page on the play store to download the app. Post language selection you will land on the home page. You will need to login to the Disney+ Hotstar app using Tata Sky RMN to play the content. In case you have Disney+ Hotstar app already installed and logged in using Tata Sky RMN, then can play the content from Program Information Screen. For iOS users, the Hotstar app version should be v10.32 for seamless viewing experience.

Can I download individual app and access ?You cannot access content on individual apps directly with this subscription. Access is allowed only via the Tata Play Binge app. The only exception to this is Disney+ Hotstar, where you need to download and login with your Tata Play Registered Mobile Number to access Disney+ Hotstar.

Can I download movies or TV shows or watch content in Offline mode in Tata Play Binge Mobile App?No, currently you will need to be connected to internet to view content on app or on your TV screen. There is no download feature available. You can use Watchlist feature to save your favorite videos at one place to view later.

Can I Cast/Airplay on TV or other devices?Currently, Cast/Airplay is not available on Tata Play Binge Mobile App

Is it available on iOS and Android?Yes, it is available for both versions

What all can I watch with my Tata Play Binge subscription on Mobile App?This app lets you watch host of digital content like latest Bollywood/Hollywood/Regional movies, Best of English & Hindi TV series & Kids Content from premium apps as Netflix, Apple tv+, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Hungama Play, ShemarooMe, Epic On, DocuBay, Curiosity Stream, Sun Nxt, Playflix, Klikk, Namma Flix, Planet Marathi, Chaupal, Lionsgate Play, Reeldrama, MX player, Manorama Max, Istream, Tarang Plus, fuse+, AHA, VROTT, Travel Xp, Hallmark, Shorts TV, FanCode, Stage, Animax, PTC Play and Distro TV and Last 7 days TV can be viewed only on Large screen (i.e. on Fire TV Stick - Tata Play Edition/Binge+ Set top box)

I want to view specific content in specific genre or language, can I do that?You can use the search option at the bottom of Home Screen by typing the content title/genre/language etc. or by filtering by language or by filtering by genre or from the trending content on the platform

It offers free as well as paid premium content from 22+ OTT apps in 1 Binge app. OTT content from following apps is availabe on Tata Play Binge – Netflix, Apple tv+, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Hungama Play, ShemarooMe, Epic On, DocuBay, Curiosity Stream, Sun Nxt, Playflix, Klikk, Namma Flix, Planet Marathi, fuse+, Chaupal, Lionsgate Play, Reeldrama, MX player, Manorama Max, Istream, Tarang Plus, AHA, VROTT, Travel Xp, Hallmark, Shorts TV, FanCode, Stage, Animax, PTC Play and Distro TV.

Tata Play Binge mobile is available for all customers ( Tata Play DTH customers as well as customer who don’t have Tata Play DTH connection at home. Large screen format of Tata Play Binge app on Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition and Binge+ Set Top Box is applicable only for Tata Play DTH customers

Do I need to have a Tata Play subscription to watch content on Tata Play Binge Mobile App?No, Tata Play Binge mobile app is available for all customers (Android as well as iOS devices) and Tata Play DTH subscrition is not mandatory to have access to Tata Play Binge mobile app

In case I am not a Tata Play customer, How do I login?You can use your mobile number to login to Tata Play Binge app on mobile/web. Tata Play DTH subscrition is not mandatory to have access to Tata Play Binge mobile app

How do I login in Tata Play Binge Mobile App?You can login using registered mobile number or Subscriber ID with OTP or password of selfcare

What happens if I don’t remember my password?No worries! You can login using OTP that you will receive on registered mobile number or you can reset the password by clicking on Forgot Password. If you have never created a password in Tata Play, then you would have to visit tataplay.com to register and create password.

I am not Tata Play Binge Subscriber, Can I login into the app?You Can log in to the app and browse through it but you will not be able to watch any content without an active Tata Play Binge Subscription. To start watching content, you can subscribe to Tata Play Binge plans through mobile or any other available modes and start watching content. For more information, you can contact our customer care center at 1800 208 6633.

I have multiple Sub IDs linked to my Registered Mobile Number, How will I know which account to login to?You will be provided a list of subscriber IDs wherein Tata Play Binge Active will be mentioned for whichever Subscriber ID your current Tata Play Binge subscription is active

How many devices can I login at a time?If you have a Fire TV Stick or Binge+ STB, you can login into 1 large screen device + 3 mobile/web devices using Binge subscription. Concurrent viewing rules are basis every OTT

How may screens can I watch content (concurrency)?Watch concurrency for particular partner apps will depend on the rules set up by partner apps as Netflix, Apple tv+, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, Hungama Play, ShemarooMe, Epic On, DocuBay, Curiosity Stream, Sun Nxt, Playflix, Klikk, Namma Flix, Planet Marathi, Chaupal, Lionsgate Play, fuse+, Reeldrama, MX player, Manorama Max, Istream, Tarang Plus, AHA, VROTT, Travel Xp, Hallmark, Shorts TV, FanCode, Stage, Animax, PTC Play and Distro TV.

What is the cost to use Tata Play Binge on Fire TV Stick - Tata Play Edition/Binge+ Set Top Box?You can use Binge app on Fire TV Stick -Tata Play Edition / Binge+ Set Top Box using Super plan at Rs.299/month or Mega plan at Rs 399/month. Will I get a new Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition as part of my subscription?You can get a complimentary Fire TV stick – Tata Play Edition in the Premium plan. Complimentary Fire TV Stick offer is subject to eligibility criteria as per your pin code. You can avail your complimentary Fire TV Stick offer from Tata Play Binge Mobile app or call our customer care center on 1800 208 6633.

I am inactive Tata Play Binge subscriber. Can I still access Binge mobile?You can access free content on Binge mobile app even if your subscription has expired. To access paid premium content ( flagged with crown on Binge mobile app), you will need to subscribe to a paid pack

Where can I recharge to use/activate Tata Play Binge Subscription?You can recharge using all the current channels as Selfcare/Third Party Wallets/Tata Play Website, etc. Additionally, you can go to My account page in Tata Play Mobile App and will view an option to Recharge (available only for Android version)

Can I modify my subscription anytime on Tata Play Binge Mobile app or Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition or Binge+ Set Top Box?Subscription changes will happen as per prevailing plan change guidelines. Below are the currently applicable plan change guidelines for Tata Play Binge Mobile app, Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition or Binge+ Set Top Box

Plan Upgrades - You can upgrade your subscription anytime and upgrade will be effective immediately from the day of request. Plan upgrade is availabe from My Plan section on Binge mobile app or Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition or Binge+ Set Top Box

Plan Downgrade - You can downgrade your subscription starting 5 days before your current plan expiry date and downgrade request will be executed on day of expiry of current plan. Plan upgrade is availabe from My Plan section on Binge mobile app or Fire TV Stick Tata Play Edition or Binge+ Set Top Box

Can I cancel my Tata Play Binge subscription anytime?You can cancel your subscription anytime however cancellation will be effective post the expiry of your monthly active plan. If you are holding a Fire TV stick – Tata Play Edition, then same will be retrieved from you post your subscription cancelation. You can cancel your subscription by Mobile, Whatsapp or reaching out to our customer care center at 1800 208 6633.

What is Account Page?Account Page shows you the details of Subscriber details like RMN & profile name, The Binge subscription details like plan name and expiry date, Tata Play balance & due date

I am already logged in max number of devices, How do I login in more?You can go to Device Management section in Account Page and manage/remove existing logged in device by clicking on cross to login into more devices. You can also log-out from one of the devices to manage your devices as per maximum device limit.

I have multiple Tata Play Binge Subscriptions, How can I switch Subscription?You can go to Account section wherein you will see an option to switch accounts, clicking on that you can proceed with switching profiles.

Can I cancel my Binge Subscription through Mobile?You can cancel the Binge Subscription through Binge Mobile app or Tata Play Customer case on whatsapp. You can also call Tata Play call centre to cancel your Tata Play Binge subscription. In case you have Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition, you need to return the device post cancellation.

What will happen if I have no balance?In case you go de-active post end of your current billing cycle, your Tata Play Binge pack will not be renewed until you recharge. In case you have Fire TV Stick – Tata Play Edition, Recovery Work Order will be created to retrieve the device 15 days from pack deactivation.

Tata Neu — the one-stop mobile app by Tata Digital to enable shopping and payments under one roof — is launching for the general public on April 7. The app is currently available only to Tata Group employees for testing. The digital-focussed subsidiary of the Indian behemoth has disclosed the launch date of the Tata Neu app through its listings on Google Play and Apple's App Store. The new offering will work as a 'super app' and cater to customers for their daily grocery, electronics, financial, flight, and holiday requirements.In a bid to take on the likes of Amazon, Google, and Jio, Tata Neu is designed as a unified platform to connect a list of brands by the salt-to-software conglomerate.The app will offer common reward points called NeuCoins that customers will earn for buying products online and at physical locations. It will also list offers from various Tata entities including AirAsia India, BigBasket, Croma, Tata CLiQ, and Westside, among others, according to the details available on the Tata website.Alongside allowing shopping, Tata Neu will allow users to pay for their utility bills and both online and in-store purchases using Tata Pay. It will also support the government's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) as well as offer EMI options to customers. Users will also be able to send money over UPI or to a bank account using the Tata Neu app, its updated listing on Google Play shows.The Tata Neu app will be available to both Android and iOS users following its debut this week.In addition to allowing purchases and payments, Tata Neu will help offer financial services to users, the screenshots on the App Store listing of the app suggest.Tata has been working on Tata Neu for the last several months. It has been tested internally and shown to various experts in the industry for their feedback, people familiar with the development told Gadgets 360.By bringing Tata Neu, Tata seems to make the competition tougher for Indian fintech companies including Paytm and MobiKwik as it has scale to grow the app using its offline retail channels. The company also has a strong base across segments that could help attract users at the initial stage.According to a report by TechCrunch, Tata has rewards as one of the major focus areas that it could run through Tata Neu to build a "connective layer" for its services. If it becomes successful, the company could make the largest loyalty programme in the country.
