由于无畏契约全球冠军赛结束的时间比较早，所以2023年的休赛期比较长，队伍和选手都在各种拉扯。其中，北美队伍EG的阵容引起了人们的关注，毕竟他们赢下了2023年洛杉矶全球冠军赛，选手们的状态看起来不错。此外，EG电竞俱乐部在最近两个月解散了其他的游戏部门，包括运营多年的英雄联盟分部，但他们保留了无畏契约分部。
EG将征战2024年的VCT美洲联赛，但由于俱乐部的财务问题，他们未能保持冠军阵容出战。12月24日，EG公布了人员变动的消息，Ethan和Demon1离开了队伍。随后另一支北美队伍NRG，高调宣布了这两个选手加入。这个交易使得NRG成为了明年纸面阵容最强的北美队伍，毕竟他们保留了Crashies、Victor和Marved这几个明星选手。

前言：2023年北美英雄联盟总决赛于纽约时间8月20日下午5点（北京时间21日凌晨4点）在美国新泽西州纽瓦克中央商务区的多功能万人室内体育馆-保德信中心(Prudential Center)里举行。
NRG电子竞技击败了卫冕王者Cloud9，获得了2023年LCS冠军。而NRG则是一个刚刚收购CLG名额进行重组几个月的队伍。
C9统治不保，NRG横空出世
在万人瞩目的舞台灯光下，长期统治北美联盟的“北美之光” C9战队和名不见经传的新队NRG争夺2023北美英雄联盟总决赛的最高荣誉的冠军奖杯。
C9，2023北美联盟赛季第一名，全部队员均是全明星，是北美普遍公认的冠军“候选人”，特别是C9的王牌AD选手Berserer被认为是欧美西方国家中的最好ADC。而几乎无人知晓的NRG战队，是今年刚刚从CLG更名并重组的新战队，赛前排名仅为第五名。战队除了2021年北美冠军的FBI，其他成员都是第一次参加决赛。
比赛前，舆论几乎一边倒地预测C9会在今天的总决赛中稳操胜券。C9的胜率为79%对上NRG的21%。赌盘比率高达6倍。而当比赛的第一局C9获胜后，比率竟然高达20倍。然而，接下来的比赛，几乎让赛场内外的所有人跌破眼镜。
从第二场开始，NRG的AD选手FBI，发挥特别出色，在他的带领下，NRG势如破竹，直落3盘，横扫C9，传奇般地夺取了该队的第一个北美总决赛冠军。

FBI由于在决赛中的优异表现，除了成了本年度的冠军外，他还获得总决赛的最高荣誉-2023北美联盟总决赛MVP。此外，他的单场比赛16杀，创造了北美英雄联盟的最高历史记录。

NRG战队由于今年下半年才刚刚重组，一开始队员还没有很好磨合，在赛季中只取得中游的第五名。然而，进入关键的季后赛后，该队很快进入状态，在四分之一赛中以3:1击败排名第二的Golden Guarden队，半决赛中以3:2战胜由两名前世界冠军、一名前中国FPX上路选手组成的全韩班强队Team Liquid (TL)队，最后在今天3:1战胜北美头号战队C9。同时也顺利收获了LCS赛区的一号种子名额。
而C9顺位拿到了二号种子，TL夏季赛止步第三，因此是三号种子（LCS根据夏季赛季后赛排名，决定世界赛种子名额），除了三个种子名额之外，LCS和LEC，在本赛季还会展开赛区较量，胜者能够拥有一个4号种子名额，这场比赛会在世界赛入围赛前一天，也就是10月9日出炉，四号种子需要参与入围赛。
FBI，黄屹寅（Ian Victor Huang)澳大利亚华人电竞选手，祖籍中国温州。自从2017年底参加英雄联盟职业电竞后，先后带领他所在的战队，获得二次大洋洲总决赛冠军，二次北美洲总决赛冠军，4次得北美总决赛和4次世界赛席位。在2021年全球总决赛的比赛中，还一度击败过当年的世界冠军-中国的EDG战队。由于他的加入，许多弱队变强队，取得赛区冠军。今天他取得了个人职业生涯中第二个北美总决赛的冠军。
从CLG到NRG，北美幻神落寞的传承
看着NRG刚刚重组没几个月就夺冠，不免让人有些唏嘘感慨其前身——一支英雄联盟电竞运营历史最久、伴随英雄联盟电竞成长的战队CLG。
CLG，全称Counter Logic Gaming，是加拿大主播HotshotGG在2010年4月就正式创立的老牌战队。
作为早期的顶级主播，HotshotGG吸引了诸多未来北美电竞圈的人士加入CLG。例如后来创建北美豪门TSM的Reginald就曾在CLG短暂落脚，中国观众熟知的“大师兄”Doublelift也是在CLG成长为世界知名的选手。CLG在北美电竞曾经有过辉煌的年代，是赢得北美头衔和参加世界赛最多的电竞级俱乐部之一。
随着以英雄联盟为代表项目的游戏直播与电子竞技赛事的蓬勃发展，北美电竞战队吸引了各路资本的投资，其中包括了休斯顿火箭队、金州勇士队等传统体育巨头。2017年，CLG就被纽约尼克斯队背后的MSG集团相中，俱乐部的控股权由MSG获得，HotshotGG也淡出了CLG。
当一大波热钱被高涨的选手工资消化之后，北美电竞投资人发现电竞很难实现可持续的商业模式，更别提最早预想的比肩传统体育的丰厚回报。
CLG管理层早早放弃了高薪竞争明星选手，转而以较低成本维持生存，从结果来看，无论是品牌建设还是竞技实力都令人失望，YouTube视频产出往往只有三四百点击量。
反观NRG，这支队伍于2015年11月，由萨克拉门托国王队共有人Mark Mastrov 和Andy Miller共同，后来又吸引了著名传统体育明星 Alex Rodriguez和“大鲨鱼”Shaquille O'Neal 等参与投资。
虽然在北美英雄联盟LCS联赛仅仅存在了一年就惨遭降级解散，但NRG没停止扩张自己的电竞版图，创建了众多电竞分部。其旗下守望先锋联赛战队旧金山震动队曾经在2019、2020两次夺得冠军；在拳头游戏新游戏无畏契约建立起VCT联赛体系后，NRG在北美获得其中一席。
在北美“电竞梦”基本破灭之后，随着疫情影响和经济下行，包括传统体育巨头在内的各路投资者对旗下电竞资产进行重新配置属于意料之中。但伴随英雄联盟电竞整个发展史的电竞品牌在一夜之间突然退场，而其后继者在短短几个月之后便实现了北美夺冠，不免让人有些唏嘘感慨。

随着亚运会将近，LCK在8月20日也正式结束了夏季赛，Gen击败T1夺得冠军之后，成功收获了世界赛一号种子名额，而T1虽然落败了，但也以全年积分最高拿下二号种子，直通S13全球总决赛，接下来LCK将进入冒泡赛阶段，HLE和KT争夺三号种子，DK和DRX的胜者，交手HLE和KT的败者，争夺四号种子。
四大赛区中，LEC和LCS因为没有亚运会，所以整个赛程进度相对缓慢，不过目前季后赛也马上就要结束了，在8月21日凌晨，LCS北美赛区，也进入了季后赛决赛，C9和NRG展开对决，争夺夏季赛冠军，最终比赛结果出人意料，C9没能够拿下联赛三连冠，反而是NRG收获冠军，晋升成为LCS赛区最强战队。

NRG这支战队，在夏季赛收购了CLG的联赛席位，保留了CLG上中野的同时，签下了前EG战队AD选手FBI，以及前IMT辅助选手IgNar，除了队内AD之外，剩下的四位选手，都是职业生涯第一次收获联赛冠军，在夏季赛决赛中，NRG以3:1的比分，击败了老牌强队C9，成功收获LCS世界赛一号种子名额。
而C9顺位拿到了二号种子，TL夏季赛止步第三，因此是三号种子（LCS根据夏季赛季后赛排名，决定世界赛种子名额），除了三个种子名额之外，LCS和LEC，在本赛季还会展开赛区较量，胜者能够拥有一个4号种子名额，这场比赛会在世界赛入围赛前一天，也就是10月9日出炉，四号种子需要参与入围赛。
G2成第12支晋级战队，距离冠军一步之遥
在NRG收获冠军的同一日，LEC也进入了年终总决赛的第一轮比赛，在此前MAD交手XL的时候，以3:0轻取对手，获得了季后赛保底前3的成绩，因此直接锁定了世界赛，最差也是三号种子，而G2在对抗BDS时，也以3:1击败了对手，和MAD会师胜者组决赛，同样也拿到了世界赛名额，成为全球第12支晋级队伍。
LEC的晋级规则和LCS完全一样，全看季后赛（LEC∠年终总决赛）的排名，谁能进入前三，谁就有资格进入世界赛，AMD和G2锁定名额之后，两队中的胜者，赢下1场BO5，就能够收获夏季赛冠军，除了赛区争夺的第四个名额之外，LEC目前就只剩下一个名额了，处于败者组的队伍，赢3个BO5才能够晋级。

最后咱们来看看，全球赛区目前已经锁定世界赛的战队，都有哪些，首席LPL赛区大家都知道，JDG、BLG、LNG、WBG均晋级世界赛，而LCK赛区方面，Gen和T1成功锁定世界赛，而LCS的世界赛队伍，分别是NEG、C9、TL，LEC晋级的队伍，就是AMD和G2两队了，除此之外，日本赛区DFM也已经晋级。
四大赛区中，仅有LPL和LCS名额全部出炉，LCK剩下2个，LEC剩下1个，不过拳头今年很照顾欧美赛区，有一个赛区可以有四个名额，除了四大赛区之外，欧美的四号种子，以及其他外卡赛区的战队，都需要参与入围赛，争夺瑞士轮参与资格，S13赛制很残酷，没有绝对的实力，今年的世界赛很难走远。
结语：
今年小组赛的赛制改革，对于LPL和LCK来说，都很不友好，因为瑞士轮，相同战绩的队伍匹配机制下，强队必定遇到强队，弱队也只会遇到弱队，而且内战的概率很高，如果没法打赢LCK的队伍，晋级八强就会非常艰难，欧美赛区虽然实力弱，但有赛制的优势，晋级8强的可能性反而会大一些。
